Oily Skin

What is oily skin?

Everyones skin has oil in it. Under each of your pores is a sebaceous gland that produces natural oils called sebum. This helps to keep your skin hydrated!

If your body creates too much oil from these glands, then you are left with oily looking and feeling skin.

How do I know if my skin is oily?

If your skin looks shiny, you find yourself using blotting sheets throughout the day to remove excess oil and your skin feels greasy within hours of cleansing, chances are you have oily skin.

If you have oily skin you are more prone to breakouts due to the sebum mixing with dead skin cells and getting trapped in your pores.
