The Skinforia Guide to SPF
Why is SPF so Important?
Nadia from Beyond Medispa explains why SPF is so important within your skincare routine..
What is SPF?
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor and is the measure of how much a product will protect skin from the sun's' harmful UV rays. UV rays cause skin ageing and sun damage, so by protecting your skin daily, whether it is raining or sunny; you are limiting these risks.
Which Products Have SPF?
What is the Difference Between UVA and UVB?
UVA stands for Ultra Violet A, which are rays that can cause wrinkles and premature skin ageing. UVA penetrate more deeply than UVB - even when the sky is overcast. UVB stands for Ultra Violet B which causes sunburn.
Does Sunscreen Expire?
Yes - sunscreen has an expiry date. Always check the packaging to make sure your product is still in date!
How Often Should I Apply SPF?
On warmer days, you should apply SPF every 2 hours.
